I've just spent the last two hours shrink wrapping the bedroom windows as well as removing the old mini-blinds. We've had new mini-blinds for a few months, and I decided, once the shrink wrapping had been completed, that now was the time to get the new blinds up. The new blinds have to have new brackets, as they're slightly larger than the old blinds. No big deal, I thought. Let me get my trusty drill.

Said drill immediately decided to die. Well, crap, said I, but that's okay. Because I can get the battery charged as soon as I pop off the casing.

The screws that hold on the casing are tiny. Glasses Repair Kit tiny. I know there is a Glasses Repair Kit somewhere in the apartment, but The Husband was the last to use it, so I won't even wager a guess. I'm taking this as a sign that I should relax a bit and put my feet up. So I am.

Also, in money-saving news, as I was shrink wrapping the windows I realized that the windows have rollers up on the upper pane. The rollers were letting in who knows how much air, and I feel as though I've really accomplished something because not only did I catch it, but I got it all stopped up. Ten points to white masking tape, for being so very useful in the oddest chores.

::slow clap:: good show

Turns out I didn't need the tiny screwdriver after all. I was squeezing the drill at the wrong angle to pop out the battery. Yeah. It's been that kind of a day.

And I may have stripped the tiny, useless screws trying to get them out.
